Job Title: Dimensional Inspector (Quality Support)

Salary: £33,800 and rising to £37,500 when role triggers are met

Contract: Full time & permanent

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

The Opportunity

As Dimensional Inspector, within Building Construction Products (BCP) you will support as we seek to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility.

What you will do:

As a Dimensional Inspector, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

  • Perform audits on parts, partially or fully built machines, following inspection standard work.

  • Measure parts or fully built machines and write detailed reports on the measurements performed.

  • Record defect information meticulously via electronic, manual processes, or visual boards, and communicate defects clearly to other areas.

  • Provide detailed quality feedback and support area personnel as issues arise.

  • Participate in defect investigations, component inspections, and projects as required, utilizing advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Support and train new team members, adhering to all local processes and procedures.

NB. The panel cannot make assumptions when shortlisting therefore please demonstrate your qualifications and experience on your CV relevant to the criteria outlined.

What You Can Demonstrate:

  • Ability to read and follow standard work procedures, and interpret Caterpillar drawings with a basic understanding of GD&T.

  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

  • Proactively look to enhance the build quality of our machines, with self-motivation.

  • Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.

What You May Have:

  • Operations experience.

  • Previous Quality experience

  • Use of Electronic Measurement Tools.

  • Measurement experience

  • Use of PolyWorks software
