Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a Milton Keynes manufacturing client. You will carry out quality assessment measurements on products and incoming raw materials, operate CMMs (Aberlink preferred, PC-DMIS a plus), and interpret plans and drawings to ensure requirements are met.

You will reject non-conforming materials, support the QM with quality systems, prepare inspection documentation, and help drive improvements to the production process.

Qualifications

• Proven background within a Quality Inspection / Assurance role.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
• CMM experience is advantageous.
• Within commutable distance of Milton Keynes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality assessment measurements of products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials.
• Operate the CMM; Aberlink ideal, PC-DMIS is an advantage.
• Review plans, specifications and drawings to understand product requirements.
• Reject incoming raw materials that do not meet quality expectations and report issues promptly.
• Assist in designing efficient quality systems and protocols for the company.
• Prepare documentation of the inspection process, including reports and records.
• Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality standards.
• Guide production on quality control issues and monitor KPI data and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor production phases across departments.

Position: Quality Inspector Location: Milton Keynes Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 Depending on experience

Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Milton Keynes, supplying precision engineering & metal fabricated parts to a range of including Automotive, Rail & Energy sectors. Due to ongoing success they are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team.

Position Overview

• Carry out quality assessment measurements of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials, including metrological and visual assessment.
• Operate the CMM, experience with Aberlink software ideal, but experience with PC-DMIS is an advantage.
• Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the product requirements
• Reject all the incoming raw materials which fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue promptly.
• Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines
• Assist the QM in designing an efficient quality system and protocols which can be used across all company needs.
• Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records.
• Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met.
• Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product.
• Assist the Head of Quality with KPI data and monitor customer satisfaction levels.
• Monitor the production phases at various levels.

Requirements

• Proven background within a Quality Inspection / Assurance role.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
• Previous CMM operating experience is a distinct advantage.
• Based in a commutable distance of Milton.
• A knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP / MRP systems.
• Strong organisational skills.

Remuneration

• Salary £34,000 - £36,000 depending on experience.
• Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00. Friday 08:00 - 14:00.
• Holiday allowance and pension.
