Job summary

Education World Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to ensure products meet the highest quality standards through detailed inspections and analysis.

You will inspect goods in and out, log activities on the ERP system, report non-conformances, carry out audits, and support the supply chain to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Prior quality experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with measuring tools including verniers, micrometers and PI tapes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect goods in and out, and all subcontract work to ensure compliance before release.
• Perform in-process and finished goods inspections.
• Log activities on the ERP system.
• Communicate quality issues to relevant departments and managers.
• Carry out audits and First Article Inspection Reports as per internal processes.
• Calibrate measuring equipment.

Job description

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to join the team, the ideal candidate will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards through detailed inspections and analysis.

Job Description

• Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts, ensuring compliance to requirements before release
• In process and finished goods inspection
• Logging direct activities onto ERP system
• Communication of quality failures to relevant department and managers
• Carrying out audits
• Undertake First Article Inspection Reports activities in accordance with internal processes
• Calibration of measuring equipment
• To support the supply chain to both internal and external customers
• Signing first and last inspection reports
• Reporting of non-conforming parts and ensuring containment is completed
• To ensure zero defects reach end user

Person Specification

• Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using verniers, micrometers, PI tapes and CMM or FARO is essential
• Work on your own and as part of a team

Hours of Operation

• Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:45 whilst undergoing training
• Once trained shifts will be 7pm – 7am Mon – Thurs with a shift allowance of 36.29% (taking salary to £43,000 per annum)
