Job summary

ASC Connections is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its established Quality team. The role focuses on dimensional inspection and CMM programming to support both existing production and introduction of new products.

The successful candidate will inspect components with CMM equipment, interpret drawings and GD&T, and contribute to PPAP and layout inspections in a regulated manufacturing environment. A salary around £40,000+ with a bonus scheme and flexible working hours is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quality Inspector or similar with CMM programming.
• Strong GD&T and drawings interpretation.
• Experience in metrology/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of MSA, SPC or Automotive Core Tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect production and NPI components using CMM equipment.
• Create and modify CMM programs using PC-DMIS.
• Complete dimensional, PPAP and annual layout inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.

A successful manufacturing business supplying complex products into highly regulated industries is currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join its established Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company investing in new projects, quality systems and continuous improvement activities. The successful professional will be responsible for dimensional inspection and CMM programming, supporting both existing production and the introduction of new products.

Quality Inspector duties include -

• Inspect production and NPI components using contact and optical CMM equipment.


• Create and modify CMM programs using PC-DMIS.


• Complete dimensional, PPAP and annual layout inspections.


• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T requirements.


• Support MSA activities and analyse measurement data to identify improvements.


• Assist with calibration and control of measurement equipment.

Desirable skills and experience for the Quality Inspector role -

• Experience within a Quality Inspector, CMM Operator, CMM Programmer, or similar position.


• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.


• Experience working within a metrology or precision manufacturing environment.


• Knowledge of MSA, SPC and Automotive Core Tools would be advantageous.
