Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering manufacturer. You will carry out quality assessment measurements, operate the CMM (Aberlink experience preferred, PC-DMIS a plus), review plans and drawings, reject non-conforming materials, and report quality issues promptly.

This role requires proven quality inspection experience, strong documentation skills, and familiarity with SAP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Proven background within a Quality Inspection / Assurance role.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
• Previous CMM operating experience is advantageous.
• Based within a commutable distance of Milton Keynes.
• Knowledge of SAP / MRP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality assessment measurements of products and incoming materials.
• Operate the CMM; Aberlink experience preferred, PC-DMIS advantageous.
• Review plans, specifications and drawings to understand requirements.
• Reject non-conforming materials and report issues promptly.
• Assist in designing efficient quality systems and protocols.
• Prepare inspection documentation and detailed reports.
• Suggest improvements to production processes to uphold quality.
• Guide production teams on quality control issues and KPI data.
• Monitor production phases and support the Head of Quality.

Position: Quality Inspector
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 Depending on experience

Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Milton Keynes, supplying precision engineering & metal fabricated parts to a range of including Automotive, Rail & Energy sectors. Due to ongoing success they are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team.

Quality Inspector Position Overview

• Carry out quality assessment measurements of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials, including metrological and visual assessment.
• Operate the CMM, experience with Aberlink software ideal, but experience with PC-DMIS is an advantage.
• Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the product requirements
• Reject all the incoming raw materials which fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue promptly.
• Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines
• Assist the QM in designing an efficient quality system and protocols which can be used across all company needs
• Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records
• Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met
• Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product
• Assist the Head of Quality with KPI data and monitor customer satisfaction levels
• Monitor the production phases at various levels

Quality Inspector Position Requirements

• Proven background within a Quality Inspection / Assurance role
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills
• Previous CMM operating experience is a distinct advantage
• Based in a commutable distance of Milton Keynes
• A knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP / MRP systems
• Strong organisational skills

Quality Inspector Position Remuneration

• Salary £34,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 17:00. Friday 08:00 – 14:00.
