Job summary

Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is recruiting an Apprentice Quality Inspector to join the Sizewell C project, one of the UK's largest infrastructure undertakings. You will gain experience in quality assurance and civil engineering while supporting earthworks and enabling works on site.

You'll work with engineers, supervisors and project teams to inspect activities, document quality, review drawings, and help implement quality plans and NCR close-out actions in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • A proactive approach, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders across site teams and management.
  • An interest in major infrastructure, engineering or quality management environments. Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining quality records, inspection reports and project documentation.
  • Supporting the implementation of quality management systems, quality plans and inspection activities.
  • Assisting with third-party inspections and monitoring preventative actions and NCR close-out activities.

Quality Inspector Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section.

What will you do?

The CWA is recruiting an Apprentice Quality Inspector to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in quality assurance and civil engineering while supporting the delivery of Sizewell C.

Working as part of the quality team, the successful candidate will help ensure that construction activities meet the highest quality standards across earthworks and enabling works. The role offers exposure to large-scale civil engineering operations, providing valuable experience within a complex and highly regulated environment

The successful candidate will be accountable for:
