Job summary

Sizewell C Company is seeking a Site Engineer for Enabling Works in the Suffolk area. The role supports the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) in delivering early civils packages at the TCA and MCA, including pavement, concrete and earthworks.

You will work on planning, procurement and execution of enabling works, requiring a driving licence, willingness to relocate/stay away and strong project-management awareness. A CSCS card and relevant site experience are preferred.

Site Engineer - TCA - Enabling Works - Sizewell C - Suffolk Site based Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within the Enabling and Earthwork Section.

What will you do?

The scope of the Enabling Works and Earthwork is the planning, procurement and execution of some of the early SZC civils scope at the TCA and MCA, including – pavement, reinforced concrete, earthworks and infra-structure work in general.

What are we looking for?

• Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately
• Ability to work across conflicting interest groups to develop solutions to complex operational and commercial problems
• Knowledge of Project Management methodology.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willing to work away from home.
• Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes
• Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility
• People Management experience and relationship management skills
• Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and Financial control.

Qualifications & Experience

• HNC/HND/Degree in relevant discipline and/or relevant Site Experience with the Utilities / Construction Industry
• CSCS card
