Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking a Quality Inspector for a site-based role in Essex. You will inspect incoming and outgoing components, perform visual checks, and verify dimensional tolerances using verniers, micrometers, Faro arm or CMM.

Applicants should have proven experience in a precision engineering environment and familiarity with safety-critical quality standards. Reading technical drawings is essential, and own transport is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of working as a Quality Inspector in a precision engineering / manufacturing environment is essential
• Experience of working to recognised quality standards is essential
• Experience of safety critical quality standards is very much preferred - TS16949, AS9100, ISO13485 or very similar
• ISO 2859-1 understanding beneficial
• Able to read and understand technical data including drawings, specifications etc
• Able to use metrology equipment - verniers, micrometers, Faro arm, CMM etc
• Own transport

Position : Quality Inspector
Location : Basildon, Romford, Brentwood, Essex
Sector : Precision engineering, CNC machined components
Salary : £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
Hybrid : No, the role is site based 5 days per week 8 am to 4 pm

The role

• Inspection of incoming products, goods and components
• Inspection of outgoing products, goods and components
• Visual inspection
• Dimensional measurements and tolerances
• Documentation checks, and maintenance of all required records, checklists and documentation to comply with company, customer and legal requirements
• Assisting with root cause analysis of NCRs
• Support all calibration requirements

About You
