Job summary

CV Technical in Coventry is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our established engineering and manufacturing team. You will carry out quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure components meet required standards and specifications.

This role involves reading technical drawings, using Vernier calipers, micrometers and attribute gauges, and recording inspection data accurately. You will work to quality systems and support problem solving with the production and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Experience performing quality inspections in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and procedures.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Quality Inspector

Location: Coventry

Salary: £14 - £14.37

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, Days

Start: ASAP

We’re currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Coventry.

The role will involve carrying out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring components meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks
• Using Verniers, Calipers and Micrometers to measure components
• Reading and working from technical drawings
• Using attribute gauges and other inspection equipment
• Recording inspection data accurately
• Working in line with quality systems and procedures
• Identifying quality issues and supporting problem solving
• Working closely with the wider production and quality teams

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Quality Inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with quality management systems
• Confident using handheld measuring equipment
• Able to read and understand technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail with an organised and methodical approach
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Good computer skills, including Excel
• Good communication skills and accurate record keeping
