Job summary

MNB Precision in Coventry is seeking a Quality Inspector for a hands-on role focused on low-volume/high-value components. The position is full-time, day shift, with overtime opportunities and a 40-hour week.

You'll perform dimensional inspection using manual tools, with occasional CMM inspection and documentation duties. Ideal candidates will have experience with verniers, calipers, micrometers, and shadowgraph, plus GD&T knowledge and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience with measurement equipment including verniers, calipers, micrometers and shadowgraph.
• Understanding of GD&T symbols and reading engineering drawings.
• Experience in precision manufacturing industries.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for inspection roles.
• Experience creating inspection reports, FAIRs and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of machined components using manual measuring equipment.
• Occasional CMM inspection when required (training can be provided).
• Complete inspection reports, FAIRs and quality documentation.
• Maintain traceability of inspected parts and ensure correct batch identification.
• Identify and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) when parts fall outside specification.
• Communicate quality issues with production, machining, and engineering teams.

The Role

The Quality Inspector vacancy is a hands-on Inspection role, mainly manual inspection and will suit someone that enjoys technical, low-volume/high-value work.

For the role of Quality Inspector, you will:

• You will perform dimensional inspection of machined components using manual measuring equipment for the role of Quality Inspector
• Some CMM inspection when required (training can be provided)
• For the Quality Inspector role, you will complete inspection reports, FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and quality documentation

What We're Looking For:
