Quality Inspector - Manufacturing - Braintree Area - Up to £30,000

We are working with a leading manufacturing company in Braintree to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their growing team. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for Quality Assurance, and enjoy working in a high-mix environment, this could be the perfect role for you!

The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will provide essential quality control support to the production team. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Inspecting turned, ground, and assembled components using precision measuring tools
2. Conducting in-process and final inspections, maintaining accurate records
3. Carrying out internal audits and calibration activities
4. Assisting in improving machining process capabilities
5. Supporting corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)

What We're Looking For

1. Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role
2. Knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional measurement
3. Experience using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
5. A Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering (desirable)
6. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and quality standards
