Braintree, Essex CM3

A GBP 26,000 - GBP 30,000 per annum

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm and Friday 7.30am - 3pm (39hrs per week)

Are you an experienced Engineering Apprentice or have you been time served within Manufacturing? Are you looking for a new opportunity? Would you like to work for a successful, global manufacturing business?

The Role

You will be conducting internal audits, recording calibration activities, and responsible for measurement and inspection of turned, ground, and assembled components.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection of in-process and completed components within turning, grinding, and assembly departments
• Goods-in inspection and documentation (materials, components, and subcontract)
• Conduct internal audits
• Assist with machine trials

Required Skills

• Ability to read and use manual inspection equipment including micrometers, Verniers, and protractors
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good understanding of Word and Excel
• Highly motivated
• Attention to detail

Experience and Education

• Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
• Completed Engineering Apprenticeship
• Internal Auditing qualification
• Time served in either quality-focused role or within manufacturing

Salary and Benefits

• Salary between GBP 26,000 and GBP 30,000 dependent on skills and experience
• Benefits include 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (FTE), pension scheme, private healthcare option, cycle-to-work scheme, and free coffee/tea.
