Job description

Job Title: Quality Inspector (Training Role)

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Location: Chelmsford, South Essex

Shift: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

About the Company:

Based in South Essex, our client is a well-known precision engineering company specializing in manufacturing parts for industries such as motorsport, automotive, aerospace, and more. Due to significant expansion, they are seeking an experienced manufacturing professional or similar individual eager to train as a Quality Inspector in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications for projects and bespoke work.
  2. Inspecting, testing, or measuring materials or products during production.
  3. Using inspection equipment including handheld tools, CMMs, callipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  4. Deciding whether finished work is accepted or rejected.
  5. Collaborating with the engineering team to understand project specifications and quality standards.
  6. Adhering to health and safety regulations.

Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Skills and Experience:
  1. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  2. Knowledge of engineering procedures.
  3. Motivation to learn new skills and develop into a Quality Inspector role.
  4. Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
  5. Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications are preferred.
