The Good Care Group are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Manager - North to join the leadership team and oversee quality standards across Northern and Scottish operations. The position requires a dedicated professional to maintain and enhance quality assurance frameworks across person-centered care services.

In this role, the post holder will collaborate with executive leadership, including the Head of Quality, to execute group-wide quality strategy and ensure regulatory compliance across Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate (CI) Scotland jurisdictions. Additional responsibilities include overseeing governance for Oxford Aunts and managing professional indemnity and liability claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Data Insights: Partner on the annual Quality Roadmap, synthesising and presenting high-level performance data for Northern and Scottish operations to guide executive decision-making.
• Regulatory Authority (CQC & Care Inspectorate): Serve as the organisational expert on Care Inspectorate (CI) Scotland standards and CQC regulations across the Northern region.
• Insurance & Claims Lead: Direct the end-to-end management of professional indemnity and liability claims, analysing core trends to mitigate future organisational risk.
• Field Leadership & Inspections: Conduct high-level spot checks and complex regional care assessments across the patch whenever required.
• Policy Management & Ownership: Co-own the group master policy library, serving as the lead authority on Scottish-specific legislative updates.
• Complaints & Escalations Management: Lead responses to Tier 3 complaints and regulatory inquiries across the region.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate governance expertise, analytical capability, and a commitment to maintaining quality care standards:

• Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent professional standing.
• Sector Background: Demonstrated experience in a quality assurance and compliance role within the health or social care sector.
• Senior Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a senior management role, with direct experience analyzing and presenting complex performance data to varied audiences to make actionable recommendations.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth expertise in CQC regulations and Care Inspectorate (CI) Scotland frameworks.
• Desirable Qualifications: Relevant formal qualifications in Quality Assurance or Health and Social Care.
