Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking an experienced Regional Quality Nurse to drive clinical quality, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across Yorkshire's elderly care homes. Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and substantial post-registration experience.

• Sound clinical knowledge across elderly care, safeguarding, medicines management and infection prevention and control.
• Ability to interpret quality and clinical data, identify themes and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Excellent coaching, communication and influencing skills.
• Confidence working with Home Managers and senior teams to deliver improvement plans.
• Strong written skills, including audit reports, action plans and quality updates.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and responsive quality audits across care homes.

• Identifying areas of risk, analysing trends and producing clear, practical recommendations.
• Supporting Home Managers to develop, implement and monitor improvement action plans.
• Providing clinical guidance and hands-on coaching to managers and care teams.
• Supporting services before, during and following regulatory inspections, including CQC.
• Promoting best practice in medication management, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, dementia care and the management of long-term conditions.
• Delivering training and contributing to the development of policies, procedures and clinical standards.
• Building positive relationships with operational teams, residents, relatives and external professionals.
• Using quality data and audit outcomes to drive sustainable improvement and positive resident outcomes.

Regional Quality Nurse

Yorkshire and surrounding areas | Full-time | Hybrid
Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, values-led nurse to join a well-established care provider supporting a portfolio of elderly care services across Yorkshire.

This is a highly visible regional role, focused on driving clinical quality, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across multiple homes. You will work closely with Home Managers and senior operational colleagues to identify risks, strengthen standards and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

This role would suit:

• A Home Manager who particularly enjoys the quality, governance and improvement side of their role and is looking to move into a regional position.
• An experienced Clinical Lead ready to progress into a broader regional quality role.
• An established Quality Manager seeking a fresh challenge within a supportive, quality-focused care group.

The role

As Regional Quality Nurse, you will support services across Yorkshire and the surrounding area, helping teams achieve and sustain excellent clinical and care standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

About you

You will be a registered nurse with a strong background in adult social care, nursing homes or a comparable clinical setting. You will be confident working independently across several services while remaining approachable, practical and supportive in your style.

You will bring:

• Current NMC registration and substantial post-registration experience.
• Experience of clinical governance, quality assurance, auditing and service improvement.
• A strong understanding of CQC requirements and how to support services through inspections.
• Sound clinical knowledge across elderly care, dementia, safeguarding, medicines management and infection prevention and control.
• The ability to interpret quality and clinical data, identify themes and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Excellent coaching, communication and influencing skills.
• Confidence working with Home Managers and senior teams to deliver improvement plans.
• Strong written skills, including audit reports, action plans and quality updates.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital care planning systems.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Yorkshire and neighbouring areas.
