Job summary

Birmingham Adult Education Service (BAES) invites applications for a Quality Improvement Leader (Teaching and Learning Coach) to support continuous improvement across teaching, learning and assessment.

You will coach teachers, conduct learning walks, deliver staff training, lead deep dives of classroom practice, analyse learner data and promote inclusive practice across sites, with some on-site duties and travel to BAES locations.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above (DTLLS/Cert Ed/PGCE).
• Relevant subject specialist qualification at Level 3 or above or equivalent experience.
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
• At least three years' experience in effective classroom planning, teaching and assessment.
• Experience coaching teachers and providing constructive feedback to improve practice.
• Experience delivering staff training and professional development.
• Understanding of Ofsted framework and quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring teachers to improve teaching, learning and assessment.
• Conducting learning walks, classroom visits, audits and deep-dive activities.
• Providing constructive feedback and supporting action plan development.
• Planning and delivering staff training and coaching activities.
• Analysing learner progress data to drive improvements.
• Developing innovative teaching resources and online learning strategies.
• Promoting equality, safeguarding, Prevent and inclusive learning.
• Supporting quality improvement processes and Ofsted preparations.
• Teaching BAES learners up to 85 hours per year.
• Fostering reflective practice and collaborative culture for learner success.
