Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group is seeking a Quality Manager to lead QA and hygiene within a manufacturing environment in the UK. You will maintain QMS, plan audits, manage non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Reporting to Operations Director, you will guide three QA Assistants and collaborate with operations to meet customer and legal standards. Occasional international travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a Quality and Hygiene Manager or similar role.
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS).
• Experience planning and managing internal audits and supporting external audits.
• Experience developing procedures, SOPs and quality systems.
• Proven ability to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to analyse quality data and drive evidence-based decisions.
• Proficient IT skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management Systems: Maintain, review and improve QMS, procedures and documentation.
• Auditing and Compliance: Plan and manage internal quality audits, monitor compliance, support external audits incl. BRC.
• Non-Conformance Management: Investigate quality issues, manage non-conformances, implement corrective actions.
• Root Cause Analysis: Identify underlying causes and drive corrective action.
• Customer Complaints: Manage customer complaints, investigations, records and follow-up actions.
• Quality and Hygiene Standards: Identify risks and ensure corrective measures.
• Procedures and SOPs: Develop, implement and maintain SOPs, quality processes and documentation.
• Training and Development: Deliver quality induction training and promote awareness of quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Manage three Quality Assurance Assistants, providing guidance.
• Customer and Supplier Relationships: Attend meetings, including occasional international travel.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve quality systems and performance.
