Job summary

drnewitt.vincere.io is seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function at our Northamptonshire site. The role focuses on food safety, quality and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with customer codes and BRCGS standards across all shifts.

You will work closely with Production, Hygiene, Engineering and Technical teams to drive standards, manage audits, and deputise for the Technical Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in food manufacturing.
• Experience leading QA teams.
• Knowledge of food safety legislation and QA systems.
• Experience managing internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site's Quality Assurance function to ensure BRCGS compliance and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Hygiene and Health & Safety to maintain consistent standards across shifts.
• Manage internal audit programme and ensure non-conformances are investigated and corrective actions completed.
• Ensure actions from audits are implemented within agreed timescales.
• Oversee site traceability, document control and verification to maintain compliance.
• Participate in HACCP, VACCP and TACCP teams.
• Lead technical aspects of customer visits, retailer and certification audits.
• Provide technical approvals for new product development and site projects.
• Work with Group Technical teams on wider initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Deliver technical training and food safety briefings across the site.
• Support the Technical department budget and cover for Hygiene Manager when required.
