Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the development and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System in a manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Program Management and Supplier Quality to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes driving quality performance, resolving complex issues, and promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement, Lean and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years' experience in Quality Management or a related manufacturing discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality tools.
• Experience leading quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with customer and business requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Manage customer quality concerns and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor key quality metrics and establish action plans to improve performance.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve product and process quality.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier development activities.
• Coach and develop quality team members to build a high-performing function.
• Drive root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
