Job summary

Johnson Controls in Stockport is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System within a manufacturing environment. You will drive quality performance, resolve complex issues, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Supplier Quality teams, drive audits, and implement corrective actions to sustain product and process quality across

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing Quality, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality tools.
• Experience leading quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with customer and business requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Manage customer quality concerns and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor key quality metrics and establish action plans to improve performance.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve product and process quality.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier development activities.
• Coach and develop quality team members to build a high-performing function.
• Drive root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
