Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician at our Margate site. The role interfaces with internal manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and vendors to maintain quality system requirements for ISO 9001, ATEX, and PED.

The position involves active engagement with continuous improvement activities across the business and ensuring QA measures are followed throughout manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained with minimum of 5 years working in an Engineering environment.
• Experience with ISO management systems and SAP.
• Experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work and contribute within a team.
• Auditing experience.
• Hands on approach.
• Ability to understand/read engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
• Proficient in the use of small measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Using Quality Tools for the Analysis of defects in materials and products.
• Ensure that the quality assurance measures within the company procedures are adhered to at any stage of manufacture.
• Support measurement / validation of samples.
• Conduct goods inward sampling Inspections of vendor products to drawing / specifications.
• Reviewing / processing vendor non-conforming product, raising rejections / debits & SCAR reports.
• Maintenance of the calibration system (Internal / External calibration).
• Generating company certificates Material certificates / Test certificates, Certificates of conformity.
• Supporting dispatch dock audits.
• Analysis of SNN Aftermarket / Warranty Returns and technical raise reports.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.
