Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc in Margate, UK, is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to interface with internal manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and vendors. You will maintain quality system requirements to ISO 9001, ATEX, and PED, and participate in continuous improvement activities across the business.

Responsibilities include applying quality tools to analyze defects, ensuring QA measures at all stages, supporting measurement and validation of samples, performing goods inward inspections,

Qualifications

• Apprentice, trained with minimum of 5 years working in an Engineering environment– Desirable.
• Experience with ISO management systems and SAP– Desirable.
• Able to work and contribute within a team – Essential.
• Hands on approach – Essential.
• Ability to understand/read engineering drawings – Essential.
• Strong analytical and problem -solving skills – Essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word etc . – Essential .
• Proficient in the use of small measurement equipment – Desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing / processing vendor non-conforming product, raising rejections / debits & SCAR reports.
• Maintenance of the calibration system (Internal / External calibration).
• Generating company certificates Material certificates / Test certificates, Certificates of conformity.
• Analysis of SNN Aftermarket / Warranty Returns and technical raise reports.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.

Job Summary

This Quality Engineering Technician position will interface with internal manufacturing, engineering, purchasing & vendors.
