Job summary

iCOMAT in the UK is seeking a Quality Engineer to own the QMS and ship flight- and road-ready lightweight structures. You will write quality plans, run audits, manage supplier list, and produce FAIR reports, turning production data into improvements as we scale.

You will work across engineering, production and R&D to embed quality into design and manufacturing, train staff, and drive continuous improvement across global facilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Quality Engineering or related role.
• Knowledge of QMS frameworks (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Experience with FMEA, SPC and Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with quality testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sharp attention to detail and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and run quality control procedures to meet specs and standards.
• Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead quality improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency.
• Maintain inspection, audit, test, and corrective action records (FAIR/ISIR).
• Run internal audits against quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work with suppliers to ensure materials meet standards and resolve issues.
• Train production staff on quality standards and tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and R&D to feed learnings back into design.
• Analyze defect rates and trends to prioritise improvements.
