Job summary

Sizewell C is seeking a Quality Engineer - Inspection to ensure compliance with quality management across all inspection and surveillance activities for the project. You will work within the PDO Quality function to define and deploy nuclear industry quality practices, supporting one of the UK’s largest infrastructure endeavors.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC/HND in engineering/technical discipline.
• Experience in large projects, preferably nuclear or highly regulated, with focus on quality management.
• Chartered member of CQI or working towards.
• Experience in an inspection team in a manufacturing facility, preferably nuclear or highly regulated.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous-improvement methodologies.
• Experience engaging with regulators such as the ONR.
• Ability to analyse data, produce reports and support decision making.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Manufacturing Surveillance model across equipment manufactured off-site.
• Perform monthly compliance checks against Manufacturing Surveillance procedures.
• Review surveillance model effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Develop KPIs and provide visibility of performance; report opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate monthly SZC Manufacturing Steering Committee.
• Resolve issues and drive improvements in surveillance implementation.
• Deliver training on manufacturing surveillance processes to key users.
• Interface with stakeholders including DQPI, UKMS, MDTs and PDO Quality.
• Support quality audits across the Delivery Organisation.
• Collaborate with PDO Quality Department to ensure consistent delivery of responsibilities.
