Quality Engineer – Medical Devices

Newton Colmore is working with a medical devices company in the West Midlands, assisting in their search for a key Quality Engineer.

The Quality Engineer will have the opportunity to work on market-leading medical devices, collaborating closely with the production team to ensure parts from suppliers meet design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities include supplier quality assessments, creating and following up on SCARs, and maintaining up-to-date Device History Records (DHR) for manufactured products. This is a vital new role reporting directly to the team leader and working with five production team members.

Additional key responsibilities include incoming inspection of parts, handling customer returns, and ensuring compliance with document control, CAPA, and complaints procedures.

Candidates should have prior experience in medical devices, ideally with knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 standards, along with quality control and production experience in a manufacturing setting.
