Job summary

We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for the Completions & Transitions team at SCS Railways, supporting the Shafts & Headhouses Delivery team on HS2 London works.

The role involves managing independent site inspections, coordinating with the Client on inspection issues, ensuring timely documentation, and raising Non-Conformances to ensure compliance with Works Information and design requirements. On-site verification is required alongside project offices.

Qualifications

• Experience managing quality on a relevant infrastructure project.
• Experience working on civil engineering projects.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Be proactive in preventing substandard works by coaching and training.
• Ensure quality management is prioritised to achieve right first time delivery.
• Communicate QA requirements with delivery teams and subcontractors.
• Check works during progress and on completion against Work Information and documentation.
• Manage and communicate non-conformances to Quality Managers.
• Carry out formal surveillances to ensure inspections and tests follow plans and safety rules.
