Job summary

SCS Railways is recruiting two Project Engineers to join our Completions & Transitions team, supporting the Shafts & Headhouses delivery unit on the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. You will act as technical lead on post-construction assurance activities, coordinating with delivery engineers and subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance.

The role focuses on planning, delivering post-construction surveys, maintaining construction records, and contributing to the asset lookahead programme.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent HND in Civil Engineering with vocational training.
• Experience with main contractor and major projects is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of construction contract law and contract forms would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop a technical assurance flowchart and breakdown of work packages as directed by the construction manager and leads.
• Present and agree with the area technical assurance lead.
• Maintain asset trackers and ensure the project CDE reflects plans for progress interrogation.
• Provide weekly lookahead reporting with justifications and mitigations for date movements.
