Job summary

Aureos Capital is seeking a Quality Engineer to support a project in Howden on a 6‑month contract. The role focuses on delivering quality right first time, with QA/QC underpinning all construction activities.

The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and audit QA plans, manage inspections, and coordinate with operations to ensure compliance with specifications and records. A strong emphasis on continuous improvement and collaboration is evident.

Qualifications

• Understanding of quality assurance aspects on site
• Ability to keep accurate records of inspections on site

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with specifications
• Oversee quality control
• Work to quality control plans and processes defining QA measures
• Develop, maintain, and execute Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Test Forms (ITFs) for all construction aspects
• Compile snagging/defect lists
• Produce and oversee Material Approval Requests for all materials
• Ensure quality processes are audited for consistent approach across activities
• Manage non-conformances for quality and supplier/subcontractor performance
• Close liaison with operational teams to address quality matters
• Support colleagues and own professional development
