Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Quality Engineer to support a project in Howden on a 6 month contract. Deliver RIGHT FIRST TIME to ensure margin, client satisfaction and environmental protection.

You will develop, maintain and execute inspection plans, oversee QA processes on site, and coordinate with operations to ensure records and conformances are managed to high standards. Key responsibilities include audits, managing Non-conformances with suppliers and subcontractors, and close liaison with operations

Qualifications

• Understanding of quality assurance aspects on site
• Ability to keep accurate records of the inspections of the works for the quality records on site

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with specifications
• Oversee quality control
• Work to quality control plans and processes which define relevant quality assurance measures are adhered to
• Develop, maintain, and execute Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), conduct Inspection Test Forms (ITFs) for all aspects of the construction phase
• Ensure specifications, hold points, inspections are completed with the appropriate records taken
• Compile snagging/defect lists
• Produce and oversee the Material Approval Requests for all materials
• Ensure that quality processes are audited to promote consistent approach across all construction activities
• Manage Non-conformances for the quality and performance of suppliers and subcontractors
• Close liaison with our operational teams to ensure Quality related matters are addressed to the highest possible standard
• Commitment to their own professional development, and support to others across the Business Unit
