Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver a key highways scheme at Howden, near Goole, East Riding. You will lead the project team on site, ensuring delivery within time and budget while meeting environmental goals.

The role requires deep technical understanding, operational leadership, and active client engagement. The position is a 12-month contract with duties spanning planning, risk management, and coordination with designers, utilities and main works.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in highway construction, with senior PM experience.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 knowledge.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex construction phases.
• Experience with health, safety and wellbeing matters.
• Organised and able to coordinate large teams and supply chain.
• Experience engaging with senior public stakeholders.
• Demonstrates collaboration and strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams from start to completion.
• Drive performance across HSEW, quality, programme, and client satisfaction.
• Manage subcontractors and interfaces across design and main works.
• Ensure effective planning, reporting and risk management.
• Maintain relationships with clients, designers and stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration, innovation and safety culture.
• Support commercial teams in costs, change and contractual obligations.
• Direct, motivate and maintain a competent project team.
• Manage customer relationships including change and decisions.
• Ensure highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing.
