Job summary

ASC Connections is expanding its automotive manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom and seeking a Quality Engineer to join the team. You will work closely with customers to resolve quality concerns, support new product introductions, and help shape quality standards in a growing site with automated equipment.

You will manage customer complaints, lead 8D investigations, and drive containment actions while collaborating with Production and Engineering to improve overall quality and compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality engineer role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience dealing directly with customers, managing quality complaints and providing updates through to resolution.
• Experience leading 8D investigations, coordinating containment and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with customers and production/engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as key contact for customer quality matters, ensuring requirements are understood and met.
• Manage customer complaints, coordinate containment and lead 8D investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Keep customers updated on investigations and corrective actions within agreed timescales.
• Work with Production and Engineering to reduce scrap and rework and support quality processes.
• Support internal and customer audits and monitor quality performance.
