SALARY:£ 47,790 - £ 53,100
LOCATION:Manchester
HOURS:Full-time
WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week at our Manchester hub.

This role sits within our Smarter Journeys Lab, a co-located team within the Colleague Channels Platform and within the Pega team. We work together on key initiatives to deliver value at pace by designing services colleagues and customers find useful, intuitive, and engaging to use.
Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll be making a real difference, as you'll blend both deep domain and technical expertise within a feature team. Your key responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with Product Owners, Designers, Engineers and DevOps Teams to redefine design, functionality, features and experiments.
Driving transformation in quality engineering, playing a key role in delivering quality software solutions into production.
Coaching other members in the team including junior engineer and partner resources.
Participating in Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups and sharing learning to members in the team.
We’re looking for someone who can find answers to questions and resolve problems, energised by learning new technologies and staying in step with industry changes. You’ll be passionate about delivering high quality products and services, keeping a focus on our customers. You’ll build strong business relationships and communicate in a clear, concise manner. You’ll have excellent analytical skills and able to work methodically with a high level of attention to detail.
What you’ll need:
Basic understanding of PEGA Architecture and supporting infrastructure.
Experience in creating automated tests using automation tools such as Playwright or equivalent.
Understanding of BDD framework with Cucumber and in writing step definition using Gherkin based features and script refactoring.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Javascript or Typescript or equivalent.
Clear Communication - both written and verbal, familiar with communicating with business partners.
Great teammate with good collaboration skills, with a willingness to improve your knowledge and experience.
Growth Mindset - keen desire to learn and develop further.
Comfortable participating in workshops.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
CI/CD experience e.g. Git Hub, Jenkins.
Agile experience.
Experience of JIRA/Confluence.
