Quality Engineer - Assurance Department

Location: East Kilbride, Scotland (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £50,000 Per Annum plus benefits

A leading engineering and process solutions company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join its Assurance Department. If you're passionate about quality, process improvement, and working hands-on across complex projects, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Plans for tenders and active projects.
2. Conduct a range of on-site and off-site inspections, including dimensional checks, hydro-testing, and factory acceptance testing.
3. Perform internal audits in line with ISO 9001 standards and support supplier assessments.
4. Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and facilitate corrective action processes.
5. Coordinate third-party inspections and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

What We're Looking For

1. HNC in Engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
2. Practical experience in quality control and assurance, especially in fabrication, welding, NDT, and testing.
3. Knowledge of ISO 9001 auditing and compliance standards.
4. Experience creating and reviewing ITPs and supplier documentation.
5. Willingness to travel, including occasional international trips.
