Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Glasgow area - On-site - with some travel

Role Type: Permanent

Our client, an established defence engineering firm, requires an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team.

This role involves supporting supplier assurance activities, ensuring the seamless transition of controlled product assurance into our programme, and maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and control within our global supply chain.

Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Conduct product verifications and validations at goods receipt locations (Glasgow).
• Support suppliers with Quality Plans (QP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), reviewing their effectiveness.
• Assist suppliers with corrective actions and root cause analysis, ensuring timely completion.
• Implement and support supplier assurance processes and documentation.
• Measure, analyze, and report supplier data to inform stakeholders of trends and necessary actions.
• Perform surveillance activities across the supply chain to ensure contractual compliance and product conformity.
• Travel to supplier sites throughout the UK & Europe for pre-delivery verifications, depending on scope.

Requirements for the Successful Candidate:

• Experience creating, implementing, and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements (ISO9001:2015).
• Knowledge of Allied Quality Assurance Publications (AQAP), 2105, 2110 & 2210.
• Experience working within a supplier quality environment, verifying T&Cs in suppliers' QMS.
• Proficiency with quality tools and techniques.
• Experience working to Defence Standards (DEF STANS).
