Job summary

Safran Seats is seeking a Quality Engineer to assure supplier quality and product conformance across the program life cycle at the Cwmbran site. You will act as the quality interface, translating customer requirements into actionable quality plans and ensuring adherence to standards throughout manufacturing.

You should bring HNC/HND in engineering, AS9100 training, and a strong background in aerospace quality tools and audits to support risk management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HNC / HND in Engineering is essential.
• Internal Auditor AS9100 trained is essential.
• Sound engineering/quality background with experience in quality inspection in manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience in Supplier Quality is essential for SQA Engineer.
• Aerospace industry experience, interiors preferred.

Act as a quality interface and represent the Quality department by building and maintaining relationships of trust with customers. Listen to customers' concerns about quality and translate them into requirements, negotiate as effectively as possible with the customer and implement themoperationally within the program. Understand the implicit and explicit quality requirements of other stakeholders, negotiate them as effectively as possible and integrate them operationally within the program. Guarantee quality performance within the program, or to assure the quality of products, throughout the product lifecycle with Safran Seats GB. These individuals will support the product lifecycle quality assurance, through the complete manufacturing process, and take responsibility for ensuring that processes and procedures are in place and adhered to in relation to product quality.The post holder will support the operational throughput of SGB to ensure the required deliverables are completed on time and to the customer's specification and quality standard.Job RequirementsHNC / HND in an Engineering Discipline (Essential)Internal Auditor AS9100 trained (Essential)Sound engineering / quality background, with experience of Quality inspection within a manufacturing / engineering industry. (Essential)Proven experience within a Supplier Quality role (Essential for SQA Engineer)Prior experience within the Aerospace industry, preferably interiors.
