Quality Engineer

Location: Horwich, North West

Salary: £42k

1492 Ltd is working on a retained project for a SME precision engineering business seeking a Quality Engineer to join their expanding team. The quality department emphasizes a proactive approach and getting things right first time. If you're passionate about quality and skilled in problem-solving, this could be your next opportunity.

This role involves hands-on work on the shop floor, collaborating closely with the CI leader on non-conformance reports, root cause analysis, and liaising with customers and suppliers. You will utilize quality tools such as 8D, SPC, manage the quality management system, and participate in internal audits.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a machining or precision engineering environment, familiarity with FAIRS, AS9100, and strong problem-solving skills. Experience programming CMM machines is advantageous. The key attributes are a methodical approach and a keen eye for detail.
