Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of the Babcock International Group, invites applications for a Quality Delivery Lead at our Warrington site. The role leads a growing team of quality professionals across multiple projects within a major international programme, promoting strong governance and compliance with ISO 9001.

This part-time, permanent position offers hybrid working with two days in the office per week and a comprehensive benefits package including a pension and wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• Quality leadership experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing and construction projects.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing quality professionals.
• Experience managing supplier quality activities and working directly with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality governance principles.

Job description

This is an opportunity to take a leading role within a major international nuclear programme, supporting critical projects that contribute to global energy security and infrastructure development. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Leading and developing a growing team of quality professionals across multiple projects and programmes.
• Driving quality governance and promoting a positive quality culture across manufacturing and construction activities.
• Managing audits, quality plans, non-conformances and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Overseeing supplier quality activities, including supplier visits and manufacturing inspections.
• Collaborating with engineering, project management, procurement teams and customers to ensure compliance with regulatory and programme requirements.

This is a part-time, permanent role based at our Warrington site. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expectation to attend the office two days per week.

Essential experience of the Quality Delivery Lead:

• Quality leadership experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing and construction projects.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing quality professionals.
• Experience managing supplier quality activities and working directly with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality governance principles.

Qualifications for the Quality Delivery Lead:

• Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline., The successful candidate must be a sole UK national and able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
