Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International, seeks a Quality Delivery Lead for Warrington. The role leads a growing team across several projects, driving quality governance and a strong quality culture in manufacturing and construction activities.

You will manage audits, supplier quality and continuous improvement while collaborating with engineering and procurement teams. The position is part-time yet permanent with hybrid working; attendance two days weekly is expected.

Qualifications

• Quality leadership experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing and construction projects.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing quality professionals.
• Experience managing supplier quality activities and working directly with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality governance principles.

• Driving quality governance and promoting a positive quality culture across manufacturing and construction activities.
• Managing audits, quality plans, non-conformances and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Overseeing supplier quality activities, including supplier visits and manufacturing inspections.
• Collaborating with engineering, project management, procurement teams and customers to ensure compliance with regulatory and programme requirements.

The role

This is an opportunity to take a leading role within a major international nuclear programme, supporting critical projects that contribute to global energy security and infrastructure development.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

• Leading and developing a growing team of quality professionals across multiple projects and programmes.

This is a part-time, permanent role based at our Warrington site. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expectation to attend the office two days per week.

Essential experience of the Quality Delivery Lead:

• Quality leadership experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.

• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing quality professionals.
• Experience managing supplier quality activities and working directly with suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications for the Quality Delivery Lead:

• Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
