Job summary

3D Personnel is recruiting experienced Quality Controllers (Flange/Bolting) for a major refinery turnaround project at Fawley Refinery, Hampshire. Working on behalf of a leading European industrial engineering contractor, you will inspect bolted flange connections and ensure quality procedures are followed.

This role offers 60 hours per week (Sunday to Friday), day and night shifts, CIS or PAYE engagement, and lodge support for those staying away from home across the UK.

Qualifications

• Refinery experience with flange/bolting inspection is required.
• Previous work on heavy industrial/petrochemical projects is preferred.
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport and the ability to pass drug/alcohol screening are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify bolted flange connections to ensure integrity.
• Follow flange management procedures throughout the turnaround.
• Record inspection findings and complete quality documentation.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Supervisors and Pipefitting teams to resolve issues.
• Verify torque and tightening procedures meet project specs.
• Maintain compliance with client quality standards.

The Role

• Inspecting and verifying bolted flange connections
• Ensuring flange management procedures are followed throughout the turnaround
• Recording inspection findings and completing quality documentation
• Working closely with Mechanical Supervisors and Pipefitting teams
• Verifying torque and tightening procedures
• Maintaining compliance with client quality standards and project specifications

Requirements

• Previous refinery, petrochemical, power generation or heavy industrial experience
• Experience in flange management and bolting inspection
• Relevant mechanical or quality qualifications
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
• Ability to pass mandatory Drug & Alcohol screening and site medical requirements
• Right to work in the UK
