Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting experienced Pipefitters for a major refinery shutdown at Fawley Refinery in Southampton. Start date 14/09/2026. The 10-week assignment offers 60 hours per week with CIS Umbrella rates, and PAYE is also available.

Lodge support is provided for qualifying non-local workers. Role duties include installation, replacement and repair of pipework, reading drawings and isometrics, flange work and fit-up checks, while following all refinery safety procedures and permit-to-work

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pipefitting.
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Previous industrial site experience (refinery / shutdown experience preferred).
• Good safety record and reliable attendance.

We're recruiting experienced Pipefitters for a major refinery shutdown at Fawley Refinery, Southampton (SO45 1TX). To join the team, you must be an NVQ Level 3 qualified Pipefitter and you will need a CCNSG Safety Passport.

Start Date: 14/09/2026.

Our Pipefitters will work on a 10-week assignment offering 60 hours per week, competitive rates, and lodge support for non-local workers.

The Role

Working as part of a refinery shutdown / turnaround team, duties will include:

• Installation, replacement and repair of pipework
• Working from isometrics, drawings and site job packs
• Measuring, cutting, preparing and fitting pipework and pipe spools
• Flange work, bolt-up, alignment and fit-up checks
• Following refinery safety procedures and permit-to-work systems

Requirements
