Nolan Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Colchester-based client for an experienced Quality Controller to join their growing team.

You will maintain high standards, drive quality excellence, and support continuous improvement across the business with inspections, data analysis, corrective actions and supplier collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quality Control role within manufacturing or engineering.
• Proactive mindset for continuous improvement and quality enhancement.
• Ability to recommend changes to improve quality and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication; proficient with MS Word/Excel.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring products consistently meet the highest quality standards.
• Conducting inspections and quality checks across production and operational processes.
• Investigating quality concerns and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Analysing quality data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Working closely with colleagues across multiple departments to enhance quality performance.
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and customers to support quality objectives.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects and helping to drive best practice throughout the business.
• Maintaining accurate quality documentation and records.
• Assisting in the development and improvement of quality procedures and processes.

About You

• Previous experience working within a Quality Control position in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• The confidence to make recommendations that improve quality and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience maintaining quality records and databases.
