Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd in Witham is recruiting a Quality Controller for our busy food production facility. This temp-to-perm role focuses on quality, compliance and accuracy, with full training provided.

You will work Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm, earning £13.00 per hour in a stable, hands-on environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring CCPs, performing quality checks, assisting with micro sampling and maintaining paperwork to high standards.

Qualifications

• FMCG/food manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Ability to follow procedures and production schedules accurately.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points).
• Carry out product quality and temperature checks.
• Perform glass and hard plastic inspections.
• Conduct shelf-life assessments.
• Support micro sampling and factory swabbing activities.
• Verify label print and date code accuracy.
• Conduct scale and equipment calibration checks.
• Assist with pre-start and production changeover checks.
• Ensure production and quality paperwork is completed accurately.
• Escalate quality or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain Clean as You Go standards.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams.

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Prime Appointments are recruiting for a Quality Controller to join a busy and fast-paced food production environment in Witham.

This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, offering long-term stability for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a quality-focused role.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Controller:

• Monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs)
• Carrying out product quality and temperature checks
• Completing glass and hard plastic inspections
• Performing shelf-life assessments
• Supporting micro sampling and factory swabbing activities
• Verifying label print and date code accuracy
• Conducting scale and equipment calibration checks
• Assisting with pre-start and production changeover checks
• Ensuring production and quality paperwork is completed accurately
• Escalating any quality or safety concerns promptly
• Maintaining Clean as You Go standards
• Working closely with the Quality and Production teams

Requirements:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience within an FMCG or food manufacturing and production environment is desirable
• Ability to follow procedures and production schedules accurately
• Positive attitude and team-focused approach
• Willingness to learn and develop - full training provided
• Basic understanding of quality or food safety standards would be advantageous
