Pickstock Telford Ltd. in Shropshire is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our QA team at our abattoir and boning hall. You’ll ensure product quality, food safety and hygiene across the facility, working with production staff to meet internal and regulatory standards.

We’re looking for hands-on experience in meat processing, attention to detail and knowledge of hygiene and safety best practices. Level 2 Food Safety certification and awareness of HACCP/BRC audits are preferred.

Formación

• Previous experience in meat processing or food production.
• Strong attention to detail and responsibility for quality.
• Understanding of hygiene and health & safety best practices.
• Experience in fast-paced, chilled environments.
• Familiarity with HACCP, BRC standards or food safety audits.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out visual inspection and trimming to ensure quality compliance.
• Identifying contamination risks and reporting issues promptly.
• Logging non-conformance and maintaining inspection records.
• Ensuring hygiene protocols and food safety standards are followed.
• Collaborating with QA and production teams to resolve issues and drive continual improvement.
