  • Lead, mentor and develop the Quality Control team.
  • Conduct product and process inspections and audits.
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Senior Leadership teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Analyse quality performance data and report on key metrics.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at reducing waste, defects and customer returns.

Hours: Monday to Friday - flexible start and finish times

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that supplies high-quality, precision-engineered products to a diverse customer base across multiple industrial sectors.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality control activities across a busy manufacturing operation. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in driving quality improvements, reducing waste and customer returns, and ensuring products consistently meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, policies and standards
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Quality Control team
  • Conduct product and process inspections and audits
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Senior Leadership teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Analyse quality performance data and report on key metrics
  • Drive initiatives aimed at reducing waste, defects, and customer returns
Requirements
  • Strong Quality Control management experience within a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of complex manufacturing processes
  • Experience leading and developing quality teams
  • Strong problem-solving, auditing, and continuous improvement skills
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Qualified Auditor
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
  • Competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000
