Job summary

Oliver Bonas Limited is seeking a Quality Control Assistant to join Team OB in our Tolworth Support Office. The 12-month full-time contract involves inspecting samples across product categories, in a largely warehouse-driven role with some weekend work during peak periods.

You will work independently and with the Quality Control team alongside Warehouse, Product Tech, Buying, Merchandising and Customer Services to ensure quality deliveries before acceptance into the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of garment construction and technology.
• Understanding of AQL procedures preferred.
• Keen eye for detail and strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Check weekly intake schedules and prepare documents and product information for AQL inspection.
• Prepare product specs, product pictures and technical information for inspection.
• Communicate daily with the QC Manager and team about intake and issues.
• Liaise with merchandising and goods in to request priorities with intake when necessary.
• Organise remedial solutions with third party UK based processors on failed products.
• Investigate quality issues or queries raised by OB Stores and Customer Services.
• Work with QC to monitor lines with faults and determine action.
• Ensure correct protocol when failed/rejected stock is returned to Vendors and Suppliers.
• Communicate with QC, Warehouse, Buying & Merchandising on non-compliance or damaged items.
• Report issues and assist in corrective/preventative actions and update QC reports.
