Job description

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Coalville on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be part of a dedicated team identifying bodywork defects on vehicles within the preparation department. The role requires collaboration, efficiency, and a keen eye for detail within a vehicle refurbishment and quality control environment. Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, you will ensure vehicles meet MO standards at our Coalville site, working in a dedicated Quality Control building.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Inspecting all stock vehicles entering the preparation department promptly.
2. Identifying concerns such as scratches, dents, and poor repairs.
3. Allocating rectification tasks to the appropriate department, e.g., Bodyshop or SMART repair.
4. Liaising with management teams of the Bodyshop and SMART departments.
5. Reporting Health and Safety issues immediately.
6. Raising issues to management as soon as possible.
7. Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
8. Achieving the KPIs associated with this role.

About You:

To succeed, you should have previous experience in vehicle inspection or a similar role, work effectively in a team, and adapt inspections as required.

Minimum criteria:

• Experience in Vehicle Inspection/Assessment and/or Bodyshop roles.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Flexible, proactive, and disciplined approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Keen eye for detail.
