Job summary

Dunbia is seeking a Quality Control Operative at our Highland site in Saltcoats. You will support the production team by performing quality checks, ensuring products meet food safety and customer standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.

The role requires good English, strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6.30am–3.10pm, with paid weekly wages and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have good English literacy and speaking.
• Strong communication and team spirit.
• Attention to detail and initiative.
• Willingness to learn and support QC team.
• Punctual with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality and due diligence checks on products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and legal standards.
• Complete positive release checks on required orders, ensuring compliance with customer requirements prior to despatch.
• Document product quality findings and report back to the FSQ Team for improvements.
• Complete additional quality checks as required, including pH checks.
• Support projects assigned by the FSQ Team.
• Assist production staff with product safety and quality procedures.
• Participate in customer and third-party audits.
• Promote and maintain an “Always Audit Ready” culture within the production area.
