Job summary

Dunbia in Saltcoats is hiring a Quality Control Operative to support the production team by ensuring product quality meets safety and customer specifications. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday, 6.30am–3.10pm at the Highland site in Saltcoats.

You will perform checks, document findings, assist with audits, and help maintain an “Always Audit Ready” culture alongside the FSQ team. Basic English, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential traits for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete quality and due diligence checks on products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and legal standards.
• Complete positive release checks on required orders, ensuring compliance with customer requirements prior to despatch
• Document product quality findings and provide regular feedback to the Food Safety & Quality Team to support continuous improvement.
• Complete additional quality checks as required, including pH Checks.
• Support projects assigned by the FSQ Team.
• Assist production staff as needed with product safety and quality procedures.
• Participate in customer and third-party audits.
• Promote and maintain an “Always Audit Ready” culture within the production area.

As a key member of a successful and fast-paced operational team, the Quality Control Operative is responsible for supporting the production team by ensuring that the quality of the product is checked, ensuring it meets all production, food safety, hygiene and customer specifications.

£12.71 per hour
