Job summary

Dunbia in Clitheroe is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the front shift (Mon-Fri, 5:45am–2:15pm). You will support the Technical Department, uphold product quality, and contribute to continuous improvement in a busy meat production environment.

The role involves maintaining QA standards in Slaughter Hall and Boning Hall, monitoring OPRPs, completing audits and micro sampling, and performing routine QC checks and product reworks under the guidance of the QA Manager.

Responsibilities

• To maintain quality assurance standards in the Slaughter Hall and in the Boning Hall to deliver compliance to product and customer specification.
• The monitoring of OPRPs within production areas.
• Maintaining product specification and manufacturing documentation
• Schedule checking intake temperature and contamination checks of carcasses and primals.
• Schedule pH of beef quarters to batch and customer requirement.
• Product manufacturing and quality audits, checking adherence to specification including random primal and vl visual checks.
• Micro sampling to site schedule, checking of steriliser temperatures to ensure they are of operational temperature.
• Operational checks of metal detection equipment to schedule case end and internal label date verification checks.
• Perform product reworks
• Perform 24-hour product QC checks
