Job summary

Dunbia in Scotland seeks a Quality Control Operative to support production by ensuring product quality meets safety and customer specifications. Based at the Highland site in Saltcoats, you will perform quality checks, participate in audits, and help drive continuous improvement.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 6:30am–3:10pm, with a pay of £12.71 per hour and weekly pay. Benefits include staff sales, free parking and a subsidized canteen.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality and due diligence checks on products to meet customer specifications and legal standards.
• Complete positive release checks on orders prior to despatch.
• Document quality findings and support continuous improvement with FSQ team.
• Perform additional quality checks, including pH tests.
• Support FSQ projects and assist production staff with quality procedures.
• Participate in customer and third-party audits.
• Promote an Always Audit Ready culture in the production area.

Overview

At our Highland site we process beef only and have over 300 employees. We’re based in Saltcoats with strong transport links.

As a key member of a successful and fast-paced operational team, the Quality Control Operative is responsible for supporting the production team by ensuring that the quality of the product is checked, ensuring it meets all production, food safety, hygiene and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality and due diligence checks on products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and legal standards.
• Complete positive release checks on required orders, ensuring compliance with customer requirements prior to despatch
• Document product quality findings and provide regular feedback to the Food Safety & Quality Team to support continuous improvement.
• Complete additional quality checks as required, including pH Checks.
• Support projects assigned by the FSQ Team.
• Assist production staff as needed with product safety and quality procedures.
• Participate in customer and third-party audits.
• Promote and maintain an “Always Audit Ready” culture within the production area.
